Meanwhile poach Cat Burrell from Leo Burnett.
Meanwhile have bolstered its creative department with the appointment of Cat Burrell from Leo Burnett London.
Burrell’s design experience to date has seen her work on brands such as Kellogg’s, TUI, Premier Inn and McDonalds, which has been recognised by both Creative Circle and the Campaign Big Awards. Cat has also worked at IMA-Home and Virgin.
Cat said “Moving back up north after being in London for so many years, I was nervous to make the leap, but it was obvious from the get-go that Meanwhile believe that good creativity has no postcode. They’re a ridiculously talented bunch of people, all incredibly kind and they make a mean cup of tea. Which is arguably just as important as the other two attributes. I can’t wait to get stuck in. And for a thousand more Yorkshire Teas.”
On her appointment, CCO and founder Tim Jones commented; “Cat has been on our radar for a while, so we’re obviously absolutely thrilled that she chose to come and join us here at Meanwhile. Cat is such an exciting talent, a brilliant creative and offers our clients something totally different to the talent we’ve already brought onboard. We can’t wait for her to get started!”
Burrell will report into Meanwhile’s BAFTA-winning creative directors Rachel Miles and Michael Tsim, who joined from BBC Creative in 2023.
Meanwhile have been busy in recent times having launched this year’s Red Nose designs for Comic Relief, the “A Supermarket. For Travel. Obviously” campaign for TravelSupermarket, and a continuation of campaigns for Coventry Building Society and Chester Zoo. They have also been shortlisted for Campaign’s Agency of the Year, with winners to be announced in March.
